Worcester Restaurant hits a Sweet Spot with New Location

Sweet’s new location adds more space while fulfilling the vision that owner Alina Eisenhauer has always had for the restaurant and dessert bar.

“People who get the soul of the business recognize that … this is what Sweet was always supposed to be,” said Eisenhauer of the move to 72 Shrewsbury Street. “It feels like we should have always been here and it came out exactly as I wanted it to.”

The new location offers expansive space, with the kitchen itself being nearly the size of the old location where Sweet had been since 2008, she said. The first level has seating, a full bar and an airy and upscale feel provided by the huge ceilings and chandeliers throughout the room. A second bar sits upstairs in a second level that overlooks the first. The second level has a more lounge-like feel and can be rented out for private parties, said Eisenhauer.
