Healthy Fresh Herb Ranch Dip

A Healthy Dip Your Kids Will Love!

This healthy herb ranch dip might be the best thing to ever happen to your fresh veggies! This dip is so good that you will have no problem getting your kids to eat it and they will have no idea that it’s actually good for them.

It’s All About The Greek Yogurt

I recently discovered YQ by Yoplait Greek yogurt and I am obsessed (I am not a paid spokesperson but I should be because I tell everyone about it).  It is thick, creamy and has just a slight tang which makes it the perfect replacement for sour cream in recipes. It is barely recognizable as yogurt once you add seasonings to it which makes it great for picky eaters. I seriously use it for everything I would use sour cream for…dressings, sauces, with chili, in baking…. I even make a protein pudding with it. The best part is, it is low in fat, low in carbs, super high in protein and contains only milk and yogurt cultures – almost too good to be true!

Have Fun With Your Veggie Platters

Since next week is Easter I thought it would be fun to make a crudite platter that looked like an Easter egg but you could also do a beach theme by putting the veggies in little beach pails or flower pots and have sand to dip the veggies in (after dipping in ranch) made of everything bagel seasoning or pita chips crushed up into crumbs. Making food fun is always a great way to get kids interested in trying it.

Fresh Herb Ranch Dip

This dip is delicious with veggies and makes great potato salad, it can also be thinned out with buttermilk to make an excellent salad dressing.

Notes

I strongly suggest using YQ by Yoplait plain yogurt because it is slightly less tangy than most other yogurts which makes it an awesome replacement for sour cream. It also is low in carbs and fat while having a super thick creamy texture and more protein than most Greek yogurt. This dip will keep nicely in the refrigerator for up to a week.
